If you're going to be on the road during the holidays, be sure you've had a Madison auto care expert at one of Madison Auto Care's seven NAPA service centers check your car out so it's ready for the trip.
The winter holidays are some of the busiest times for travel. Not only that, they're also some of the most hazardous times for travel with snow, ice, rain, or other weather events that make driving risky. That makes it even more important that you make sure your car is ready for the trip.
"No one wants their car to break down in any season, but especially not in cold or snowy winter weather," the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says. "Start the season off right by ensuring your vehicle is in optimal condition: Visit your mechanic for a tune-up and other routine maintenance. Have your vehicle checked thoroughly for leaks, badly worn hoses, or other needed parts, repairs, and replacements."
Among the items your mechanic should check are your battery, lights, cooling system, and tires. Be especially aware of the pressure in your tires because, as the temperature drops, so does your tire pressure.
Of course, you can make Madison auto care easy on yourself by consulting the Madison auto care technicians at one of Madison Auto Care's conveniently located seven NAPA service centers: Clausen Auto, Handel Auto, Genin’s Auto, Capitol Tire, Odana Tire, Hansen’s Auto, or Aeschbach Auto.
